Is it 29 already? Wow. That’s a number. And a good age. Very good age. Lately lots of people in my environment have been busy with ageing. Hahahha. I did just write that yes. What I meant was the subject of ageing. 30 year olds are going on about wrinkles. All-righty. Let me punch you in the face so you have something to worry about.

Moving on. Siri has been on my case since I can remember. It used to be a love-hate relationship that turned into mainly hate. She made me get lost and be late one time too many. Now that I’m starting to find my way around it’s payback time. Whenever I get the feeling of revenge surfacing, I open maps and type in a destination I know a few shortcuts to. Then I let her route and reroute and I listen to her struggle. Sometimes when I’m really feeling it I would ride my bicycle on the sidewalk and go opposite way just to hear her panic.

This whole mask deal is getting to me. It’s not supposed to be normal to have nose and mouth covered. It’s weird. I shouldn’t have to run back home standing in front of the supermarket cause I forgot my mask. It’s bad for the environment too. Just another throwaway product in our daily lives. And if you are thinking right now: ‘Tam you are doing it wrong – get a reusable one or make one yourself you can wear it every day without throwing it!’ Let me tell you that if you do not wash this thing on a daily base or swap between a few so you can use a fresh one every day you are a gross human because it’s not only the mask you are re-using. You are also re-using your spit, your snot and your make-up and it makes me shiver in disgust.

Apart from the re-usable or not question there is the communication problem. Some people just can’t speak through the mask for several sometimes even personal or simply physical reasons. To quickly lift the mask to speak can be okay but there are humans that would lower the mask on a between-lips level and then speak thinking they are now understood. Let me tell you - you are not. Not even a little. It looks and sounds like you are chewing your mask. These may be the same creatures that would stick a parking ticket between their lips as they are driving into a car park. Which was probably one of the wise habits that helped spread the virus in the first place.
